Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tart will update Tomorrow...

Tart's fight with the Spider Demon (anybody want to name him/her/it? Chuckles isn't eligible: too obvious) continues in the next update tomorrow morning.

I think you can see why I'm pretty proud of this one. Some of our stories will be plot driven. Some will be character building. And some... some will be about Tart fighting for her life against beings built to kill her. This is one of those issues.

Will she live? I guess that depends on if this is a limited series or a continuing one.

But if she does survive, then that means we're going to take Tart into her next evolution as a comic book product.

We promised three free issues of Tart. We're delivering. And to our publisher What the Flux Comics' credit, they've allowed us to live up to that promise. Some publishing houses might have made stopping these updates a condition of joining. But we never heard anything like that.

Unfortunately, for Ludo and I to continue, we have to bring something in. Especially Ludo, as every hour he spends drawing, inking, lettering and coloring Tart, is an hour he isn't devoting to his freelance art business. And it doesn't take too much more than a cursory glance at any single page to realize he's spending serious time on this project.

So here's the good news: these three issues are being packaged as we speak. And packaged to be sold.

The bad news is that it's nearly impossible to sell something that is sitting up for free. So warning:

Don't doddle!

Make sure you're reading as the updates come out. And please, please, please... if you know someone who might be interested, tell them to check out Tart now. Because after the last update (Tuesday, May 1st) we will only be leaving all three issues up for one more week. At some point on Tuesday, May 8th we will take them down. I want you to enjoy these stories before that happens. Thus this very early warning.

The good news is that What The Flux Comics has offered pricing which will reward the first 200 people to purchase Tart with a nice discount. So the people who have been with us from the beginning will have first shot at the discounted price. I'll post detailed pricing later this week, but it will be affordable.

So please stick with us these next few weeks, as we proudly show off our third issue. And again, let your friends who might be interested know that time is of the essence if they want to sample Tart without spending a penny.

Oh yeah, and come back bright and early tomorrow, because The Spider Demon has pissed Tart off... and believe me, you do not want to do that.

Why so quiet?

I know I haven't been cluttering up the blog too much lately, and I'm sorry about that.

The job that pays me has been crazy busy, and a lot of the time I would be blogging has been spent on first drafts of issues 4, 5 & 6 (it's looking like 6&7 might be a two-parter, but I haven't gotten to issue 7 yet) and BUH BUH BUH:

Working with Larry Jarrell at What the Flux Comics on the digital Ebook and Trade Paperback of Tart Volume 1 (issues 1 through 3). Really Ludo and Larry are doing 98% of the physical work making certain the images are correct rations and spectrums and Jargon, jargon jargon that I don't really understand, but it looks beautiful.

More info as it becomes available.

Hope you all have a great weekend.
